The Springboards Training Team welcomes you!
Finding and working with the right trainer is a process often surrounded by mystery, fear or frustration- it doesn’t have to be! When matching trainers with clients, Springboards looks for the right fit, not only in background, expertise area, and goals, but in interpersonal dynamics as well. Though our trainers vary tremendously in background and technique, Springboards has a broad selection of professionals united by passion, creativity, and dedication to developing strong communicators in the professional arena. It’s in this variety that we are able to find the right trainer for any individual or situation.
Nadia Nassif, Principal and Senior Trainer
Nadia has dealt passionately with language training and language learning her entire academic and professional career. She received her first degree in Applied Linguistics from Boston University and took up several years’ study of French and Japanese. She has been teaching English as a Second Language and Business Language Communication to internationals for nearly 8 years in both Japan and the US. Though Nadia’s ability with foreign languages and understanding of the language process has made substantial contributions to her classroom success, it is clearly her enthusiasm, vision, and drive for a client-focused, fruitful training that distinguishes her from other schools and instructors. In addition to training her clients and running Springboards, Nadia will be receiving her Masters in Business Administration at UMASS Boston, where she is updating her skills and knowledge to reflect the real concerns her clients face today.
Scott Sminkey, Associate Trainer
Scott has one of the most eclectic backgrounds and skill sets to offer international clients in need of Business Language Communication and language training. With a career of nearly 30 years of IT under his belt, Teaching of English as a Foreign Language certification, and wide-ranging exposure to Boston’s foreign-born business clientele, Scott has identified what makes his teaching a robust and unique experience for all his clients — whether group or individual. His passion for learning languages and his dedication drive him to target his client's instruction for efficient learning. Scott’s expertise is enhanced with each assignment he takes on; he always strives to "become the expert" in any newer area of training his clients require.
Diana Lynch, Associate Trainer
Diana is an ESL (English as a Second Language) instructor with a TEFL certificate and a Masters of Arts in Educational Studies from Tufts University. Recognizing her passion for foreign languages and language acquisition early in her career, she directed her studies toward a more linguistic focus, concentrating on language and culture, first and second language acquisition, and human cognitive development. She has since worked within the ESL community for the past five years with many clients of diverse backgrounds and situations, from newly arrived internationals and workplace English immigrant populations to foreign-born professionals and high-level executives. Diana has tremendous scope in the types of clients she is able to work with and approaches her teaching with a very unique touch tailored to each individual or group she instructs.
